Does Anyone Start There Own Flowers?
#31
I bought a packet of nasturtiums and threw them in my garden with the rest of my veggies. The leaves were very dark green and the blooms were a deep, rich orange. They were very pretty. And very easy. I planted the seeds and that was it. They did amazing!

I used to try to get starts from almost all of my plants. Most of them worked. I even started a new bottle-brush tree from a small trimmed branch. The man at the nursery where we bought the original tree told me it wouldn't work when I asked him. That was after I had already done it. He still maintained it wouldn't work when I told him about doing it. It grew into a nice tree.

This thread has me so stoked for the coming weekend....DH is going to get all the paraphernalia collected for me to get our seeds started. The doc won't let me go back to work for another couple of weeks, and I am going stir crazy, so this will be something for me to do. We start almost all of our veggies, and a lot of annual flowers as well. Much more economical, as well as being fun to watch them getting ready for the big outdoors. The only drawback, I will now lose my kitchen table for the next several weeks. LOL
Happy growing, everyone!!!
