What a nice idea. I belong to a guild and have a friend that comes to shows with me but she is a sometimes quilter. I would love to have someone close byt to bounce ideas and share with also.

Frog 90, When I moved, newly retired, I started quilting as a way to meet people. I took a beginner class (8 weeks), then was asked to join our local guild. Many quilt shops have "free sew" days or "quilt till you wilt" days or nights that are great opportunities to meet new people with similar interests. I had to force myself to talk w/people, ask questions like how long they've been quilting etc. Now I have lots of quilting buddies that I can call to go shopping, ask about fabric colors, swap fabrics, tools etc.

If you were in Montana I'd invite you to join us for free sew Wednesday or our next guild meeting.

I hope you find a buddy soon.

hope you find one -- it's great -- I found mine here and we email most days and exchange pictures and just chat -- and we get together since she lives only a few miles away -- good luck

I think Idaho is too far away also!!! But hey, that's why we are on this list...Sane quilters are easier to find in any one area...but being a Crazy Quilter, I rarely find anyone in my area...I know of one in Utah and a couple in Colorado...

Love your pics !! I have done some crazy patch, I enjoy it . No points or seam to match exactly & the embellishments are only restricted by your imagination.
