    OK, I've had some good laughs and now I will post the answer and Sewmamma66 came close. It is not 1 pincushion but 6 of them. The frog one I will keep and the rest will be gifts. Don't know what it is with frogs but they are just plain cute.

    Thought these would be nice to carry with you to a class or a trip, or whatever, as they lay flat.

    Basket made from clothesline then wrapped with fabric..... this one looks like you have made a lid for it....... this may turn out to be a really bad guess.
