Two of my quilting friends have made this quilt and they are beautiful. I am waiting for my LQS to offer this again. It is a good way to learn how to use a lot of stitches and feet that come with the machine.
From the pic I see here it is going to be a pretty quilt.

I just started this class last month at my LQS. I have learned so much in one month. Love the class but like someone else said it will be the most expensive quilt I ever made. I have already had to buy 3 feet and more to come as months go by.
I would love to see some finished pics

PS i am doing stitchers garden 2

It certainly is doing that! Yes, it demonstrates machine fusible applique, focuses on using those decorative stitches, yes you purchase additional feet and attachments for your machine and learn how to use them . While I am enjoying the process, it forces me to slow down and pay attention! I can chain piece all day long but this project really does challenge my patience ..in a good way. It takes me the entire month to get my block done! I do work on other projects in between steps.

Fortunately I have tons of batik scraps so it is not as "expensive" to buy fabric. The feet and attachments do drive up the cost but hey, might as well learn some new techniques!

The above quote is my 2014 quote....I have always wanted to make myself slow down and accomplish one challenging quilt project. ( Love looking at Baltimore albums!). Occasionally, someone has put their SG in their local Guild quilt show and they renew my interest in getting mine done. I recently saw one where the person just completed the appliques and did not apply any of the embellishments. It was still pretty and I certainly understood why she chose to do so. I do want to do the embellishments because learning those is the reason I signed up for this BOM to begin with. So Stitcher's Garden is my " Baltimore Album" and, in some ways, my Crazy Quilt because they are embellished!

I am adjusting my attitude toward this project in the following way:

    * I already own everyting needed to complete this.

    * THIS is my challenging project that I set a goal to complete.

    * EACH block IS a project in itself. Tackle this project with that attitude...one block at a time!

    Ok, now I am commited!

I'm doing this one too. The LQS has offered this as a class for the last 3 years and ends up having 3 or 4 classes each time. I'm having fun with it. Will try to post pictures later.
