Looks like another beautiful day weather wise, but here in Sioux City, we are preparing for what they say will be worse than a 500-year flood. The Missouri is expected to crest (sometime in the next two weeks) at 7-10 feet above flood stage. Read this morning that there is still 10 feet of snow left to melt of the mountains northwest of here. Residents of the Dakota Dunes area of the greater Sioux City area are evacuating for what experts say may be up to two months. Amazing that this can happen with the dams, but without them............
Businesses being effected and residents for a long way down river.
My home is safe as I live on a hill east of the river, but lots of family and friends will be battling the water.

Good morning, in Texas, who knows what the day will bring. We haven't had any rain to speak of at my house since Feb 16. With all the other folks with floods, rain, rain and more rain, I don't understand. The wind has been so bad this spring, dries out everything that you try to water everyday. 88 here already, close to 100 before day is over. All my grass is about dead. Haven't had to mow hardly at all. Strange weather, now Hurricane season in here once more. Have a great day everyone. Think I will quilt...
