Great story, I'm glad DH is doing well. The quilt is sooooo beautiful, what a lovely gesture on your part.

What a precious gift. My husband is a surgeon (now disabled) but one of his patients gave him a postage stamp quilt done by hand. I appreciated it before I learned to quilt but after I learned and started machine quilting...I treasure the love and labor that she put into it even more! It hangs in our country basement for all to see! She didn't label it and I regret that, I did not know her name so I cannot do that for her. What a testimony of love for someone.

How thoughtful, and serendipitous that they are her favorite colors! When doctors have bad days, it's that kind of generosity and thoughtfulness that gets them through.

Interestingly, her first reaction was "My favorite colors!" Now I have never been to her home, but when I saw that line of fabric, it just made me think of her so I made the quilt HOPING she would like it.

awesome...she looks really happy and DH looks really healthy...great line up!
