I'm inclined to agree with you and 'CKCOWL' This certainly doesn't give the appearance of being very old. The colors are way off for that time period and the quilt looks like it is 'hot off the press! I also would want to see some documentation before I would even consider spending that kind of money on an 'antique'.

That is a spectacular quilt and probably worth the $7200. I just can't afford it.

pretty, but makes me dizzy
fabric doesn't exactly look like c1840, but maybe
they are lucky enough to have some proof of that...

I doubt the date also and the quilt didnt sell. If they put it in again I will ask about the orgine.
