I was not aware of fabric sharpies. I do know (after speaking with a church that organizes hosta sales each year)that awhile back sharpie was sold and now they have cheapened the regular sharpies. If you want a marker for marking this to last you buy the 'industrial sharpie' which used to be the regular sharpie.

I have used sharpies and have not had a problem with them washing out if you use pre-treated fabric for dying and setting solution and heat setting the fabric just like anyother dying project. Moosegirl

Pigma pens are permanent. I use them for labels, outlining pictures I have colored for quilts, etc.
