He looks like my ex-husband before his morning coffee. Didn't want to get too up close and personal with him either. At least the bear will go away when you stop feeding him... :-D

You know, scientists are always interested in tracking bears. Maybe if you call Wildlife people they could set a trap. Then they sedate them, tag them and put them back in the wild. Just a thought. But that really is not safe for you.

love your avatar, Gladys. My cat thinks that way too.

I don't have bears, but I have been in the areas with bears, and they will eat anything. They love the oil that fries, fish, chicken is cooked in. They rolled that trash can all over the camp and not a drop was left inside or out.

is that another pair of eyes off to the left? (it must be reflection, or it's the biggest bear i've ever seen!) we have deer in our back yard, foxes, even coyote-and we are just in the twin city suburbs. on the other (eastern) side of the city divide, they are experiencing "urban bears", and there has been a mountain lion sighting. *sigh* we are just using up all of the territory. they were here first, and we have mostly forgotten that.

No fruit trees but they sure like getting into the trash.

What a beauty! We had one in our yard the other night and he was scraggly.

I hope you are careful and careful when you let your dogs out! That is a bit scary!
