Glad you had no damage from Irene. Also glad you got the "power"........Fran (1996) left us without power for about 7 days and ice storm 2001 left us for about 10 days. I truly appreciate my power at all times.

Wow, that is a long time. Only good thing is the weather, you probably didn't need heat or air conditioning. Now refrigeration is another thing........

I only went 4 days and thought I'd go stir crazy. Isn't that first hot shower in your own bathroom WONDERFUL?

I live all the way in NY and had the same problems. As a matter of fact, there is a crack on the front porch cement patio that got much bigger after the earth quake.

At least we are alive and kicking. (and sewing I hope)

Bobbie1 beat you by 1 day our power went out 6:30 Sunday morning got it back at 7:30 the following sunday evening 8 whole days..........
