Well, at least you are in good company, especially on this board.

I call it enjoying yourself! It isn't hurting anyone.

Consider it your daily coctail.....your visit to a therapist...your spa day.
We all need to relax...this is how we choose to do it.
Embrace it...its who you are.

LOL...I got obsessed with every type of craft that I used to do...started in 1996. Rubber stamping...I jumped in with both feet right away and I must have over 200 stamps and most supplies that go with it. There were plenty more types of crafts too that I did the same thing. Then when I started pouring candles in 2000 I did the same thing. My hubby built a shop for himself and on the 2nd floor I have my shop...but I also have supplies in the basement, on our laundry room shelves and shelving units in the garage. Thank God I DO sell those though.

After we were married and I got back to sewing...probably the mid 70s...I was obsessed with buying fabric and making clothes. Went through several spurts like that and now the latest obsession is sewing again. Thank God my hubby helps with just about all of the everyday things. He has done his own laundry for years...even used to iron too. He will dust and vacuum too. And he still has his very stressful job. I tell myself that him doing housework de-stresses him...lol.

Meanwhile I am either reading this board, looking through quilting publications or finding sites online...and sewing.

He used to have his obsessions and I rarely said a word about them.

When I am having a bad day...like today...another rainy gloomy day...I love to check out fabric websites.

I call it both too!! I was so tired last night, I got in bed at 8pm. I have been sewing every night for the last 2 weeks. I tried to sew like I do every night while listening to the TV. I just want to get one project done so I can go on to the next!!! It is my passion & obsession!!! There is only a couple of things I want to do on my own time, sew, ride my horses and spoil my grandchildren!

That's me right now. I have to make a list of things I must do each day or I will breeze on by and sit down to the quilt I'm hand quilting for one of my customers. It's a sampler quilt made with 30's reproduction fabrics and I'm just loving watching it come to life. Can't wait to see the finished product and see how she likes it. It's the first quilt I've done for her. (Will post pictures when it is finished. It's an awesome quilt!)

Quilting is my relaxation so no matter what needs to be done, what the kids need or what hubby needs I always make time to get in some sewing. Then I can handle everything and anything. :-)
