Hi, I'm from Ham Lake, MN 20 miles north of the Twin Cities. We were just in Duluth. We've 2 grandsons at UMD and took them to dinner at Grandma's.

Well, I don't live in Duluth anymore, but lived there from 1966 through 2009. Is it snowing yet? Almost time for the anniversary of the great Halloween blizzard.

I'm in Lino Lakes, just north of Minneapolis. Always good to "meet" neighbors.

Welcome again from western Nevada! We grew up about 60 miles south of Duluth, and I went to UMD! :)

Thank you all for the warm greetings. Great to hear from near Duluth or Northern MN, others from all over Minnesotam those who have lived here and moved way, have relatives and friends here and are from other parts of the country. Sharyl, welcome to the area. I'd enjoy meeting you and Kuusistoquilter from Duluth sometime. I'm going to try to squeeze in a couple hours this afternoon at the Quilting on the Waterfront show that's down at The Inn on Lake Superior in Canal Park. I'm helping with set up for my church's bazaar this morning then have an appointment at 1 p.m. but hope to get there around 2 p.m. It started yesterday and continues today and tomorrow from 9-5 p.m. Have you or are you going? Will be 70+ quilts on display including an antique quilt collection (which I love) and vendors to tempt us to open our purses in moments of weakness.
