Old glue on a fat quarter

My mother always used Crisco shortening to take out grease stains. It always worked!! She said the grease that stains has some salt in it and that is why it stains. (just a side note on the glue thing :) )

my default "sticky remover" is old fashioned lighter fluid. you have to work fast, because it evaporates so quickly, and please, PLEASE don't use it near anything hot or with a flame--i go to the back porch-- but a little on a clean cloth, rubbed onto whatever needs cleaning, usually does the trick. if you leave it out, on a porch, or hanging on a line, to air overnight, all traces of it are gone. you can hand rinse it to remove any traces.

All I know is, the stuff works, and I use it on everything.
I'm just stating what I know. I do not wish anyone to take offence. Ignore this at your pleasure.
