It does - just tried it. Used goo gone then pretreated the fabric with Spray & Wash, washed it and it came out clean and colors in tact.

My mother always used Crisco shortening to take out grease stains. It always worked!! She said the grease that stains has some salt in it and that is why it stains. (just a side note on the glue thing :) )

Oh my gosh, I had totally forgotten about this - I have a hummingbird feeder hanging from a wrought iron shepherd's hook in my garden. Ants were crawling all over it and getting into the feeder. I sprayed WD-40 on the wrought iron, near the ground. No more ants!

my default "sticky remover" is old fashioned lighter fluid. you have to work fast, because it evaporates so quickly, and please, PLEASE don't use it near anything hot or with a flame--i go to the back porch-- but a little on a clean cloth, rubbed onto whatever needs cleaning, usually does the trick. if you leave it out, on a porch, or hanging on a line, to air overnight, all traces of it are gone. you can hand rinse it to remove any traces.

Thanks for all the info! I have to get me some WD-40. Sounds like something one should keep handy all the time.

It works! There are also some other products in the laundry section called Carbona Stain Devils. The one that works on glue is #1 (there are different Stain Devils for different problems, so be sure to read the label.) I won't tell you how I know or how many times I've tested both, but you do have to wash the fabric in hot water a couple of times after you use it. froggyintexas
