Looks to me like a log cabin then cut on the diagnol with two triangles -- one on each corner!

Looks like Pioneer Braid set in a star pattern. Hope this helps.

One other thing...if you look at the Etsy posting, you can see how the blocks actually go together: the braids, the squares and the triangles. The Etsy post is just the blocks laid out to look like a finished top - they are not sewn together, so you should be able to get a better idea of how they go together. I have patterns for braids that are paper pieced, so let me know if you need more info on them.

What a fun pattern! It would be a cinch to paper-piece the blocks.

Such a beautiful quilt! I would love to have that pattern or find out the name as well.
I see a white square in the lower left corner and then logs built around the side and top like a log cabin.
After that is complete, two white squares attached to each corner, flipped back and then cut to make this design.
That is what I see and I could be wrong but I think I'm going to try a block with some scraps.
The colors in this quilt really make this star explode. Awesome!

luvestitches, It looks very doable. If you do try the block, please post your results, and perhaps a photo. I would love to see how you come out with it. Good luck.
