I can't wait to see what kind of looks I get when I use the stash of vintage Lilly Pulitzer squares my friend gave me for a picnic blanket!

Love your photo and story. Isn't it amazing how well your lovely quilt goes with that homemade lemonade?!

We are less than 2 hours from the beach and haven't been there in a couple of years! Time to plan a trip. I'm not sure I'd put a quilt as pretty as yours down on our beaches because there's a chance of it picking up tar, but it's an inspiration to see, in any case. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Here's a hint for anyone who hasn't experience beach tar: Take baby oil. It does a great job of removing it from your feet.

I took a handmade quilt to the beach once and never could get the sand out of the seams! Never did it again, though I HAVE taken them to the pool -on the grass, not sand!

Depending on what part of the country you are in, the lookers may have thought the lemonade was good old fashioned moonshine lol. In my neck of the woods mason jars =moonshine lol. Beautiful photo and beautiful quilt looks like something out of a country living magazine
