    What you have done so far is awesome. I, however, don't see what you mean by "some of the seams meet". It looks wonderful to me. Stop berating yourself for not being further along and "seams that don't match". This is a complicated piece and you've done wonderfully with it.

    New York Beauty blocks take longer to make than you'd think. However they always look so gorgeous when you've got them together. This is a type of block I make over and over. You can make up your own blocks too and they look just as good as the ones that came in your kit. Try using freezer paper as your foundation next time. You don't need to rip the paper off inbetween all those little spaces, like you do with a regular paper foundation. The whole pattern stays on until the block is finished, then just pull it off.
