I see no problem with your placement of fabrics. My eyes keep moving around on it. I think you have done a wonderful job and the colors are superb!

You can go buggy with the placing of blocks doing a scrappy quilt......ask me how I know!! Inevitably I always manage to have two of the same fabrics right next to each other...ug!! So it happens to all of us. Your quilt looks great so far.
