I just sent you a PM so we can discuss what you want. My e-mail is [email protected] in case. I am now set up on Facebook under Bag-Sationals and that has my email on it.

Jan, do you attach the bottom of the lining with the bottom inside of the jeans?

I assume you are asking me (Jill) and no, I don't attach the bottom. When you make your outside bag, you trace that shape on your lining, so when you construct that, it should fit in nicely inside the jeans bag and only attach it to the top. Because I use fusible fleece on my lining and pockets, it retains a nice shape.

Your welcome! If you make one, be sure t post it! It is easy to just get creative with them, and are so much fun to make because no two are alike. Half the fun is picking out the jeans and them finding fabric and extra bling to finish them off!

I tried making some for my girls at Xmas time. I was very frustrated because I couldn't get the waist band to match; the front was shorter than the back. I made a one big one like yours and three half size with the front pockets sewn inside and no lining. The smaller ones were a hit. The girls like to take them dancing or clubbing. Any tips on making the waist match?

I pin front and back at the waist, then smooth as much as possible on the table and use a large ruler across both legs to make a chalk mark where to cut off the legs. Then trim off all the thick inseams. This next part is tricky. Pin both FRONT legs together from bottom of zipper and sew down to the cut off part. Do the same for the back. Now you have a skirt with very uneven hem, Use the ruler again and mark straight across the bottom. Cut off all but about 1/3 inch for the seam, and sew across bottom with bag wrong side out, curving up a bit at both side corners. All This is done while the top is pinned. Now, un-pin the top and you have your basic bag. Press the bottom seam once you turn it right side out. This should make your bag more even at the top.
