To be totally honest, i find myself using my rulers instead of using the Go,
which is in a certain place in my sewing room. I too have purchased "too"
many dies and use them little. (had to have). I,m not saying I regret the
purchase. I do use the 2 1/2 one often but I look at the others I have
purchased and now wonder, "WHY". Sometimes they will sell for a good price
on the "Sew it's for Sale" group on Yahoo. You can pick up good buys on the
dies and the GO. If I would going to purchase one I would definately "Go
with the Go", not the Baby Go.

Do you mean the Alto Quilt Cut? I bought one of those before the Go became available. I use it to cut wide strips. It's on a table of it's own so always available for me to use. I keep the Go ready to use on a separate table. I found having space to do each task of quilting makes it much easier for me to do more. DH didn't want to move before retiring so I took over two bedrooms and had a big entry put in the shared wall. A walk in closet in each room! Couldn't take the wall down so when we sell we can close the entry way and make it two bedrooms again. If we don't sell I have plenty of room.

A similar question was posted on the accuquilt yahoo group recently, and this was my response:

Just my opinion...I'm on a limited budget and was saving for a Go! I saw a Go! Baby set on ebay this summer which I could not pass up. It included the Baby, 2.5" strip cutter for the Baby, Value die (which I swapped for a different die), the 6x24" cutting mat plus a 5x10 mat for $125 and free shipping! It works fine and was a great buy for me. However, if you can spend a bit more I would get the Go. It's bigger, heavier, and you have the option to use more (larger) dies. I bought mine for cutting small scraps and it's fine for that but I see other larger dies that look like fun.

Good luck with whatever you decide...These cutters are FUN!

I agree - I would love a studio, too, and would love to get Ebony's custom die. Do you know the cost of her die? I've admired it, but never contacted Accuquilt for the price.

I think Ebony Love's die is a fat quarter strip die.

I read a post on here just a few days ago about how someone had a Sissix and it could cut other companies dies. To me that would be a better buy. I have not used mine very often so I must have bought the wrong dies!

I just got the Go this week and love it so far. I've cut out 2 baby quilts. It came with one die, which has 2 squares and a set of HSTs on it. I bought another one for charm squares, as I use loads of those in my charity quilts. I think it's just wonderful. Good even quilt pieces and super fast cutting.

My kids got me the Go for Christmas and my DH knowing this ahead of time bought me a couple cutting boards and die he knew I would like including the 2 1/2" strip die which is wonderful for cutting strips as it is so quick and accurate.
I look for the die on sale and don't regretting at all that I had mentioned to my DH I would like one,LOL
I have appliqued shapes on towels and baby bibs so far and everyone enjoys receiving them.

I have had my Go for about 4 or 5 months and have really had fun with it. I've spent time going thru my scraps and tamming them. The strips and shapes are perfectly cut. It's quick. Or I should say it's faster cutting than just using the rotary. I use it often and am happy with my purchase of it. As others have stated, if you shop around you can get some good prices, both for your go and the dies. If you decide to purchase it, then you'll have to decide to use it. If it just sits in a closet and not used it's not worth the cost. Only you can decide what you will do. Good luck on your decision. I have been very happy with mine.

I love my Go! especially for cutting strips and the rag quilt die.
