    "I wonder from time to time if there should be a blessing of the quilts day."

    The church I was raised in, and the church my children were raised in, had a service once a year where the quilts were blessed before being sent out for whatever mission. They were draped along the backs of the pews, viewed by all attendees, and blessed during the service. When I went through my divorce, one of the church members approached me, and asked how many children I had. When I replied 3, she stated, "Then you will need 4." She went back inside the church and returned with 4 of the quilts.
