Love it! I love sewing strips together to make "new" fabric. Truly makes a unique quilt!

I'm not fond of Jelly Roll quilts. I find the construction of them mind numbing. I like your variation. Here's a pic of one that I saved in my "Quilt Ideas" folder. It was posted here on the QB. I don't remember who, but I loved her idea. If it's yours, please claim it. And maybe, post a pic of the finished quilt.

I think it is great just the way it is.

I will second the motion to cut into quarters and re-arrange and sew back together.

Im with you, I hate those 1600 quilts. No imagination what so ever. Yours is looking much better but needs a little more intervention!

I love this idea. Sometimes a visual brings out more great things. I am planning a "race quilt" for my DGD. I hope I like it. Have been wondering how to make it more interesting and larger. Take a deep breath and move forward.

If not gold stars, why not applique something in the top right and bottom left corners? Like daisies with stems and leaves? White daisies. I think that would really pop!

I love Jan in VA's idea - golden stars randomly appliqued would really be effective.

I would add the blue sashing to make diamonds. or maybe go with white.

I love it just the way you have it. It looks dramatic.
