I used to shop BF when my sons were young... but I lived in Calif. at the time and there were many shopping places within reach. Now living on the coast of Maine and (luckily) we don't have big box stores anywhere close by so I enjoy supporting my local small businesses for unique Christmas gifts. I do purchase some things online from time to time.

My DD thinks it is a bonding time. I want to stay home. But I've been checking the ads for about a month know so I know where I want to take her.

She loves it- She is a teenager.

The store wasn't terribly full, but it took forever to process people. They told me today that things would be better this year. I hope so.
You may want to check their add for Sat. I think Friday was the flannel and Sat. some of the Fleece was on sale. I hope I'm remembering correctly- I've only looked at about 15 ads.

When my daughters lived at home, we'd go out super early (like 3AM) on Black Friday - it used to be such fun! Now that they're grown and out on their own, "mom" is content to shop in front of my computer in the comfort of my home office!

With all the men hunting in my family it has become a tradition for my granddaughter and I to go out very early (5 am) on BF and shop. We then stop at 9:00 and meet at the restaurant with my DIL and DD for breakfast. She was 6 when we started this tradition and is now 30. Wouldn't miss this time for the world. However, we both are slowing down and don't like fighting the crowds anymore so usually go for breakfast at 9:00 and then do some shopping. Still fun but not quite as exhausting. LOL

I don't go out, but partly because the stores have just about changed the "black Friday" into "Black Thursday" and I just feel Thanksgiving is a day we should all be home with our families and friends. We should not be standing in lines waiting for the stores to open at 10pm or what ever time. I am making all my gifts so I don't need to go out, I can just stay home.

Not I, not ever. Bonnie Hunter's mystery starts that day. But I still wouldn't go out for anything that day.

Looking forward to see what JoAnns has on sale for BF. Don't know about the LQS sales yet.
