A nephew asked me last week if I finish one project before I start another. He was surprised to learn that I usually have three of four projects going at a time and more on the back burner waiting. HA Obviously he doesn't understand quilters!

Have a church raffle quilt to get at and finish before March 1st. But have to finish 4 table toppers for my daughter and mittens for an elderly friend. My fingers are 'itching' to get at that quilt.

I haven't done much quilting for the past 5 years because I've had serious thyroid problems and have just not felt good. So now, after taking 3 different medications and going through two radioactive iodine ablation procedures, I am now doing hormone replacement therapy and can honestly say that I feel better than I have in years. So, yes, I am excited about getting back to quilting. I have done some crafty things, but I haven't felt like quilting. I have continued to build my stash, purchasing mainly pre-cuts and patterns and kits. I also ordered a new fusible BOM. But (and it's a big but) I do need to finish the 4 BOMs (1 pp, 2 fusible applique, 1 needle turn applique), two mystery quilts and one QOV that I have already started before I start anything new.

Is it bad that I am excited for the projects I get to start after the rush of Christmas!! I got a bunch of things and one big quilt for myself I am chomping at the bit to start. But am consumed with Christmas gifts! Anyone else got big quilting or project plans after the holiday rush!!??
