I think it's a great quilt. The windows part is very prominent. If you wanted to make the panel fabric more important try the one I did for granddaughter which had rows that were randomly sashed. I think it has the same look without all the window work.

the colors are very pretty, it is an interesting setting, I do have a japanese panel I may try this pattern on. thanks for sharing
