Mike, Today's world isn't much different than 1914. Yes there are advances in medicine, but politically the world is in just as bad if not worse shape. Wars all the time, famine and death all over the place. Different classes even though it's not as obvious are rampant. Even here in the US. Not much difference.
Mark, Take a look at mine. I believe all of them have the same serial number plate as the Singers do.
