Your quilt is gorgeous!!!!!! I would put a border of the red on the two sides. However, after creating what you did, you certainly don't need anyone else's input on how to finish it!!!!!! Wonderful job!!

WOW! Absolutely stunning! Having just completed a hand pieced, hand quilted baby quilt, I am very impressed and can appreciate all the time and effort that you are putting into this quilt.

Unfortunately, I cannot use the red for another border - I've used up that fabric without the option of just ordering some more online... (already had to piece it in the middle for two of the NYB blocks to make it last - but that small seam is almost invisible).

I've thought some more about the idea of adding a border to the sides, and I think I most likely won't do it. One reason is that I don't really want a huge, wide quilt and right now it's wide enough for me. Another reason is that I should have made the 4 patch border longer if I'd want to add another border (I made the 4 patches exactly the same size as the ones in the middle of the quilt so the outermost ones will be cut off a bit - which I think is not a big deal right now, but it would look improvised if there was another border).
