what a beautiful addition to her room. I would have a hard time walking on it but I have seen others who are brave enough to make a beautiful "quilt" for a rug and I'm sure it would wash up nicely when the time comes.

I love your French braid with piano border and wonderful collection of fabrics. Amazing job!

Wow, what an amazing quilt. I wouldn't want anyone to walk on it, either. We are a shoe-free house, and have no problem asking people to take off their shoes. Good for her.

Beautiful quilt. Much too nice to be used as a rug.

I only visit once if I am requested to remove my shoes at someone's house! Neighbor down the road here has lived in her house for 25 yrs...had it built, the carpet is champagne beige-thruout- no shoes-upon entering---not many friends visit!!!!!...and carpet looks like laid down yesterday, but getting dry rot anyway....and so are drapes!!!!!!! I must confess I lived like that for about 5 yrs, then figured what the hay, "things" can be replaced! And now people come over, If the weather is foul, they themselves will de-shoe, otherwise not......me too!!!!!!! Oops! sorry for the rant........
