Cari, I had a new bulb for it, but the odd little fixture is sorta weird. When I got the machine it seemed mashed and out of kilter so I straightened it. Apparently that was the wrong thing to do! Tonight I got it back to working just fine and the way the "shade" rolls inside it seems I must have it correctly. I really felt like I just mashed it up again. I'm sooooo glad that is not a part I can see unless the front door is open. It would make me crazy!

LOL! Yes it was supposed to be mashed. I really should check things out better before I randomly decide to change the shape.
I'm glad the desk came out well. I honestly do NOT love restoring or re-finishing furniture but I do love the changes you are able to make. I have another wood restoration project coming up shortly. I haven't had a chance to examine it up close but I hope I can get a good restore with this next one too!
