    Your granddaughter is so cute!!! She sucks her fingers just like my daughter did (she's a little older that yours--49) lol, but when I saw your picture I had a sudden flashback. Thanks.

    i have always loved your avatar, but thought it vintage pic. now it's even more beautiful to my eyes. this pic of your sleeping granddaughter is lovely, the story delightful. few years ago a friend sent me a pic of her new (adopted) grandson playing happily on a quilt she had made for him. she wrote "...and this is why i quilt!". last xmas my granddaughter came running back out from bedroom to scrounge around in the pile of christmas pretties. grabbed up the quilt i'd made for her, wrapped it around herself, looked at me and grinned. said "i need this to sleep!". yup ..that's why we make quilts. for our beloved grandtreasures.
