What does "loosely hand quilted" mean?

(Smile) Well, I wasn't sure how to write it but I have spaces not quilted 2" X 8", which I do t like at all. I wanted to quilt a line between the bars making it 1"x8" but that would've taken longer than I thought I had. It works, I hope!

Is this your own pattern or is it available to buy?

    Lovely quilt.
I saw a picture on Pinterest. One similar to this one, I think but I didn't pin it. The bride picked out one with larger strips and fewer rows. So, I drew it out on graph paper with the strips being 2 1/2" X 8 1/2" except for the top and bottom. 13 different fabrics finishing at 82" X 96".

On the last row on the right I didn't use because I was trying to make it wider but didn't like the look of it. The top and bottom strips went from 2 1/2" X 2 1/2", 2 1/2" X 4 1/2", 2 1/2" X 6 1/2", and 2 1/2" X 8 1/2". It was surprisingly fast to piece and fun with relatively little ripping out.
I pieced it in vertical strips.
