To answer several of your questions, I first saw the design in a non-local quilt shop where they allowed me to take a photo and I then re-drafted it in three different block sizes. I just named it Georgetown Squares after the shop. I have taught this as a one-day class many times and have made about a dozen - a close quilting friend has made at least 16 of them! I had no problem with the blocks being out-of-square and the border fabric did not come with the panel - in fact it is one I purchased from Connecting Threads and the line is called American Celebration. I love working with stripes and particularly in borders where I can miter them.

What a great tradition, and I'm sure the kids love them.

Love this quilt. Not the usual colors I'd use but I'm crazy for snowmen of any kind. We don't get snow here in Brisbane, Australia. Well done. Kelly is a lucky boy and I'm sure it will be a much loved quilt.

Oh I wish I lived by you I'd take your class. This quilt is darling. It is very colourful and cheery for winter. Congratulations on your growing grands!
