    Ruler work is when you use a ruler or template that is made of 1/4 acrylic/plastic made specifically for using with a ruler foot on your sewing machine or a long arm or mid arm machine. It allows you to get nice crisp lines straight or curved depending on the shape of your template by putting up against the foot of the machine and you can go in any direction. Google it, you'll find lots of info.

    Don't give up!!! It is so much fun and addictive! It didn't come to me right away either. I had to spend a lot of time at my machine just playing before the light bulb moment hit.
