    It would definitely be in my "keep for myself" stack - it is fabulous!

    I know you said you paper pieced it - did you have a pattern for it?

    This quilt was a combination of individual FPP blocks from the internet & then many of them were from Carol Doak's book "Mariner's Compass". Some blocks are duplicates of ones that I really enjoyed making, just changed up the colour/fabric choices to make them look different. I was pleasantly surprised that FPP is not difficult to do, but makes such striking blocks! Just recently purchased Carol Doak's "Creative Combinations" book, with some really cool blocks and borders! I did learn something about online patterns - not all of them include the seam allowance! lol So some of my blocks have added black borders to bring them up to size! For anyone nervous about trying - jump right in!
