That is such a good idea. You can't help but feel good wrapped up in all those memories!

It's a beautiful quilt. When I first began quilting many, many years ago, I wanted all my quilts to be very coordinated and matchy matchy. Now, after making about 14 family reunion quilts, where my family members sent fabrics of various colors, many, many shades of blue, red, green, black and white, etc., each quilt had a unique flavor and the quilts were a hit at our bi-annual family reunions on July 4. This year's quilt, I decided to dig into the scrap tote with all the leftover fabrics from previous quilts, and I'm making a Grandmother's Fan quilt in the blues. I also decided to make mug rugs using the Periwinkle or Wacky Web template from MSQC using the blues and left over red fabrics and they are turning out nicely. Such great colors in your quilt. Thanks for sharing.

Log Cabin is such a versatile pattern. And all the memories called up by using scraps from quilts you've made previously -- good job!

Love how your log cabin is done in this fashion. Looks great and your backing is gorgeous.

Gee it turned out so wonderful! Great contrast and I love the fields and furrows setting.

Beautiful log cabin. My brother's name was Dana. You don't come across it too often, I haven't anyway.
