    i hate them!My son came in
    about 12 last night. he said it was so quiet out, he could hear them munching on the tress.
    I'm scared of them too. almost as bad as spiders.

    We don't have those pesties in our yard. But I have seen them out in the forest where we walk our dogs. Kind of creepy looking, seeing them all wiggling around in that web.

    Safer's, puts out a number of excellent products to combat everything from Forest Tent Caterpillars to Aphids.

    I recall in the '80s we had an infestation so bad, they were crawling EVERYWHERE! You could see masses on the sides of houses. The freeways had gotten so slick from them crossing the road, that there were many car accidents, even fatal ones. It was terrible. Hate those things. Thankfully, we've never had a crazy "bumper crop" of them since. I hope never to see it again!
