Beautiful! I love the woven look. Flannel quilts are so cozy in the winter.

I used a Hobbs black 80/20 for the batting sailorwoman. I ordered it from connecting threads at the same time I found all of the other parts on e bay. I bought it all separately, but, I suppose you could just buy the kit. It made it kind of heavy, but, I am thinking once it is washed a few times, it will cozy up a little better.
I thought about making it from cotton, but, like so many of you gals said, flannel is cozy for the winter. It was a gift for hubby's couch.

Thank you all so much for the nice comments. I value your opinions.

Ohhh, I just want to wrap myself up in that. Beautiful quilt. I understood that this quilt was made from a flannel jelly roll, is that right? You didn't prewash did you, or the back? I really want that quilt.

Aaaaah, I could so love to snuggle up under that beauty and watch the snow fall as I sip hot chocolate. The colors are so relaxing.

I did pre-wash the backing to make sure it wasn't going to run or shrink. Then I lightly pressed out the small amount of wrinkles that was there from the wash. I pre-treated the batting by putting it into the washer and letting it spin out and drying in the dryer. The jelly roll would have been a nightmare to prewash, so nothing done to that. I will cold wash when I do clean it and use a cool dryer to fluff it, then hang to finish the drying.
