    to make one this large I used 1 1/2 color and white layer cakes. sewing was fairly quick, I did trim each hour glass block to the same size that made it more even and easier to slice them into the 9 patch to flip around to make the block. show us what you create,

    Love that beautiful quilt! King size quilts are a lot like making two quilts in one...huge.
