I like how you used the dark sash to give your eye a place to rest. Did you plan the color placement or just grab a 4 patch and sew? I love your scrappy binding. Congrats on your beautiful quilt! The name, Happy Scrappy fits!

Copycat - At first I was just going to grab and sew but I ended up finding two colors that I thought looked nice together and sew them up in a four patch - two squares light x two squares darker then I tried not to put too many of same color close together. It's like working a puzzle.

Nice, comfortable looking quilt. The hand-quilting will make it a snuggler!

I hope the quilters in Fabric Moratorium" see this awesome quilt. A great way to use up small cuts of fabric in our stash. As I have often admitted to this board, I am not a big fan of scrappy quilts ... just too busy for my liking. But every once in awhile someone posts a scrappy that I really like and this quilt is definitely one of them. The black sashing makes all the difference in the world.
Oh, and kudos to you for doing this by hand!!!

I love the amount of quilting you have done. Most of the time, handquilters do a minimal amount. This looks great and will hold up through many years. Great job.
