I like the general Spring palette on a white background myself. Love the idea of the baskets and being I'm a butterfly and pansy fanatic I bet I could come up with these pretty easy.

OOOOOh I love your idea! So you are saying all blocks to be the same basket and we just do different flowers in the basket? Right? Wonderful! I would still like to do the 12.5 inch blocks and if you choose to have a wall hanging you can opt for that but if you choose to do a quilt, that would be ok too. :thumbup:

Just baskets would be more restrictive. So how about flowers too? Can't get much springier than that.

Lots of good ideas spinning off from this. Baskets can be part of the block design itself, or applique, or whatever, all baskets could be different. Flowers, butterflies, dragonflies, whatever may be in a spring basket......again, applique, or art of block design.....9" works well too! We are all so creative. I agree that we could use a cream, or light background, but colors - WHATEVER WE WANT!
