Geepers, watching you ladies turn out these bags, I am starting to itch to make one! Never been a purse person...but I might have to start! They are just too cute! AND you can make one to match every outfit right? :)

Hi Fabulous quilters. Good day to each and everyone of you. Thanks for the very nice comments about my tote. I really love making them.
This pattern was based on the Bow Tucks purse. I didn't add the outside pocket, since I had so much going on there with my stripes and I didn't make the bow tucks on the side, since I thought it would take away from my flower placement at the handles.
The flower petals are just a simple circle. I use the lid of a planters peanuts can. Fold your circle in half, wrong sides together: Once, Twice, now you have a one quarter piece of your circle. Hold the point between your fingers and sew a running stitch through all layers of the outside curve. Now pull taut, just like you were making a yoyo. Stitch to hold closed. Now you have one petal of your flower. You can use whateve size circle you want , making them larger or smaller. and use as many petals on your flower as you would like. I used 7. A yoyo makes a nice back for your flower and a nice middle part too.
Fun for older gr. daughters to make. They can decorate bookbags and their rooms with them.
