Where is Marshall's Dry Goods located. Sounds like a place I need to visit but shouldn't.

There is a great spot in Winchester, Tennessee. It's an old store that sells everything from socks to toys. Most items are overages, even Melissa and Doug toys at great prices. Well, on the first floor in the middle of the store are fabrics, some on the bolts and some are flats. The buyer gets the fabric from a fabric distributer. You never know...I found Lakeshore, Civil War Repros, 30s Nostalgia, Mark Lapinski, Benartex, etc for $3.98-$5.98. You cannot go in with a plan, but I love it and stash build when I visit my sister in Estill Springs, Tn.

Marden's in Maine. There are several stores around the state some have fabric and others don't. Check web site before going. Older years fabric from all companies at $2.99 and $3.99 per yd

There is a shop at Fancy Gap Va. Don't know the name but signs along the road.

Fabric Shack (believe that is the name) in Monroe, NC

Foust Textils in Kings Mt NC. I have heard they allow public in. Call and find out their policy.

Now who can add. My intention was to make a list like the above for those who might travel,

DH and I are trying to plan a fall vacation and I mentioned Marshall's and suggested there is probably lots of other things to do in the area..... He said do some research and we'll see. We are thinking of retiring to Arkansas, too, so would be a good time to check it out. I saw this picture and just laughed...I could live in this place.
