Such a deal! What a wonderful thing to do by using your new stash to teach others to quilt.

What a great find and think of all the Linus quilts and pillow cases your church friends can make for those in need. Thanks for sharing and everyone on this board have a Happy Thanksgiving and wonderful holiday of quilting

Hmm--the moving co. got it free, and you had to pay $100 for it. Somehow that strikes me as odd. However, no doubt a good buy for you.

I'm delighted you plan to use it to teach other's in your church. I hope some of the elderly who are lonely and need something to fill their days will attend and get the quilting bug. Quilting is great for idle hands and gives elderly lives purpose when it becomes difficult for them to get around. Besides the interaction with others such quilting groups provide.

I keep wanting to start a circle at our church, but right now I have my hands full with a husband who's had two strokes (in rehab now) and a son and DIL who have twins--their 1st pregnancy. The twin boys are 4 mos. old now, but my help is still needed. Of course, my time with the boys is the biggest joy ever--and they were born on my birthday. What a wonderful b'day gift!

NICE GIFT!!!Have fun with it all.
You could put an add in the local paper for a group of Ladys to get to gether.I have found that a lot of older ladys who have lost there spouces are usually lonly and are just waiting for a chance or reason to get out.Let them know you want to pass the art around befor it is lost.A lady in Colorado started a program for young people who hve to do community service, they are tought to make quilts to give to children over seas or here who need them.Just an Idea.God Bless
