I'm challenging myself to complete my "Winter Wonderland" quilt, which I'm doing in blue instead of red. I'm going to quilt it on my embroidery machine with snowflakes. Now that I have a plan, I'm excited to get started on this project that, so far, has been easy to put aside.

Aside from that, I'm taking a break from bed sized quilts in favor of smaller projects. Almost every quilt I've ever made is bed-sized, and I have lots of table runners and wall hangings that I'd like to try.

Do you have a pattern for a Kindle cover? I would love to make one for my SIL. Or are you one of those talented folks who just knows what to do? I am one who needs guidance and then I can tweak it to my preferences. Thanks for any info you have. Happy New Year!

I have no idea. In the words of Scarlett O'Hara, "I'll think about that tomorrow".

I usually plan on January 1 - film at 11...

I want to finish a quilt that I started for my mom before she passes away. I would be a good memory.
Also a christmas quilt for my DD for 2011, a kindle and laptop
cover, and I hope to do a king size quilt for my bed. I'm sure I will start someother things also since you all give me so many new ideas. Thanks to everyone for all that you give to this board.

Great plans for many wonderful projects. Have built up my stash so I have no excuse.

One of the nicest treats I received in 2010 was joining this Board and meeting some of the nicest folks ever. Thank you one and all for all the tips, encouragement and for sharing your knowledge.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

1 & 2 - I have two friends retiring so they will get quilts in their favorite colors.
3 - My sister is turning 65 so that is another one.
4 - I'd like to make a "comforter" quilt for my son's birthday.
5 - I purchased a reproduction colonial fabric in Williamsburg while visiting this fall and finally got complimentary fabrics to make it - for me!
5 - I need to make a couch throw for my nephew who lives in Atlanta and didn't get one for Christmas before my sister flies back to visit him!

I'm sure other occasions will come along as well as birthday and Christmas gifts for family and friends. Good Luck with your projects in 2011!

My list is too long, but the big one would be to finally learn all the ins and outs of my embroidery machine.
