I'm taking the Marti and Me quilting classes, I'm buying the templates and I think I'm going to like them from the demos I've seen

When using M M's templates it is easiest to use the smallest diameter rotary cutter.

I even go to the glass company and have them cut 1/4" plexiglass templates for me. Like for a crazy quilt instead of using that thin stuff I like the hard plexiglass. Works great.

If you're talking about Marti Michell templates, I paid $20 to attend one of her "infomercial" events. It was supposed to be a class with "tips" for better quilting. It was really a trunk show and "Look at my templates and buy them". Total waste of my money. If she wants to sell her templates at a trunk show it should be free.

Don't like her templates and will never, ever attend one of her infomercial events again.

I completed the American Beauty BOM. It was not fun. Very few blocks ended up the right size. I don't think I'll use her system ever again.

Interesting.. Seems some love them and some feel equally strong in the other direction!

I'm signed up for a class using her templates. I'm not a big lover of templates but thought I'd give this class a try.. We'll see.. The class isn't until March so there is plenty of time to follow this thread..
