I really like your colors and I like the way its own personality shines! Some blocks have a way of doing that!

It is a lovely star and the way in which you have the fabrics makes it a brand new pattern. Love your colour choices and fabrics as well! Well done for a first time pp. It is not an easy one to make!

Your Star block is wonderful!! You needn't put yourself down, as you have done a great job for your first pp'ing attempt. Believe me, it gets easier as you do more of it!! Very nice.

Don't give up it does get easier...Someone who did the farmhse actually printed twice and cut up and taped together and colored in areas which made it much easier for her...might try it if you feel your gettting mixed up. But as you can see we all do our own thing and they are all beautiful..as is yours.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. It was a good learning experience, it was just the pesky A4 and A5 pieces that got me in a tizz. I did draw the star on paper, and colour it in, but still got it wrong when I sewed, duh! Hope next month's star isn't paper pieced though!

Like the blues in the star. Colors look great together.

Cornish Maid, your block may have come out differently than you expected, but it's still a vibrant star. I like it! Tulip, thanks for the compliment! Gwenny, Judy's explaination of changing the friendship star from 1 to four is just right. I reworked it to eliminate some seams and to allow the center to not be broken up, and here's a photo of how my drawing looks.

Sula, gorgeous star! I love the butterfly effect in the center, too.
