If you are asking about these FQs I would maybe consider white, purple and yellow.

You can also ask for only white and purple. This way you can use yellow for the sashing.

I hate to always say "white or wow" only but if you don't specify one color you want then you will get 16 different varities of one color..Sometimes it doesn't matter but if you are making, say a blue/white quilt you don't want reds or pinks or yellows in there...I would much rather someone tell me what specific color they want and try to meet their needs then to just make what I think looks good and then they cant use it! The lst boom or so that I joined I didn't specify anything so ended up with strips with florals or colors that I will never use so I have a lot of UFO blocks in my bin...someday maybe Ill use them

terriamn if it is for the kids prints maybe try brights and no white or black. I did this and it turned out good in a previous swap. Here is a picture of fabrics I used and some of the blocks I received back. I made a floor quilt out of it for my grandson.

I'm considering sending along a F8 of Kona black and Snow White to go with my Boom F8s since each of my Boom F8's is from a collection and each swapper would receive a different F8. My request would be, then to use only those three fabrics for the block.

    Thoughts???

A couple of booms back someone did that, they wanted a more controlled color story, I think it worked well for them.

Yes, excellent idea! Especially since blacks and whites vary even if people would add the same brand. It would add to your cost of materials.

I like that idea because sometimes the navy is so dark you cant tell if its black and some of the black is so light it doesn't appear to be black at all...I love the Kona colors but even those can be a tad different if you don't buy off the same bolt. I always buy a white or tone on tone white from Fabrics for Less out of California. It expensive to buy a bolt at a time because of shipping but it still figures out to only about $5 a yard for name brand fabric. Ive bought quite a few bolts from them for backing fabric also. Does anyone else look at posts of past boom pictures and think WOW I see my block in there!! Im ready to start mailing!
