Terri, did you take "Go Lightly" as your colon prep? That contains polyethylene glycol, which lots of people have a high blood pressure reaction to. It nearly killed me. I can't take it anymore and have to use magnesium citrate plus laxatives instead. I would suggest strongly that you avoid poly glycol in the future! The dr. should have told you that. So glad your colonoscopy is over. Hope you got a good report!

Thank you for that sweet compliment, A2P! I do love the block you made! Thank you!

There was an adorable Janome travel sized on that might be perfect for a second machine. I meant to ask how much it is but got so excited by a darling panel it went right out of my head.

Thank Janice, she is a sweetie.
If the only trouble with your machine is timing, any good service guy should be able to fix that. Then you can keep it for the stitches it makes. I keep my old 1975 Bernina 830 up and running, so I can do zig zag when I need to. But 99% of the time I sew on my straight stitch Juki too.
Hope you and Ernie have a relaxing time at the cabin!

It's a lovely block. I love that "lady" fabric, hiding in the flowers. It must be a Tilda?

Sewbiz thanks for the info, sorry I don’t remember what I took, hubby threw away the container when he put it in pitchers in the fridge. Will definitely talk to the doctor before my next one.

Love the little lady hiding in my fabric, she was a surprise to me when I totally opened the fabric

I made one for SBG today while kicking myself for designing a cra,y block for Janice. I told myself I had to do the blocks as I pulled out the fabric. I cheated today and did the last baggie on my first batch while Janice pieces glared at me. I Will work on it again tonight.

Terri, after doing the prep for my colonoscopy (which didn’t go well), I could hardly walk into the surgery center. I got on the bed, the nurse put the blood pressure cuff on me, took my pressure and let it go down. Then she let it rest about a minute and took my BP again. I said what is it? She said 200/101. I was so afraid they wouldn’t do my procedure with it that high. The anesthesiologist and the dr came and checked on me. They decided that knocking me out would lower my pressure so they would go ahead. My pressure after 200/95. They told me to go home and take my BP meds. I did shock the doc though. He asked me if I’d had a colonoscopy before. I said yes. He said how long ago. I said 40 years. He nearly fell off the stool he was sitting on. He said you got in when they were just beginning to be a diagnostic tool in the 80’s. He said I ask most patients that question and you are the first to ever say 40 years! I hope you have a quick recovery!

I have a couple of blocks done. Both for Janice. I promised myself I would try to avoid difficult, first one has 98 pieces! I’m not a good listener I guess. Well, they wouldn’t load so I guess I need to check the sizing again. Sorry Janice!

Ok, I hope they aren’t too blurry.

Anybody who has any extra of the blue Janice included with the green, I could use a 2 1/2” X 7” strip. My calculations came up short. Maybe math isn’t my strong suit anymore!

Sewbiz, on about piece #75, I was thinking this might be beyond me! I’m glad it came together. If you remember those swirling swallows I spent the summer trying to figure out, the second section the ring looks like the swirling swallows.

And here is Janice's block... I am assured I will never design or make a block like this again. On a positive note, it is complete.

My sentiments exactly. I don’t know why I didn’t count the number of pieces before I started! But it is done and I really like it. Hav4 yours is beautiful too!
