    That looks like needle turn applique. Is it the same?

    Those are gorgeous! I think this is the easiest and most accurate way to applique!

    I learned this method almost 3 years ago from Jan Carlson, who taught at a weekend conference in Nebraska - I absolutely love this back basting, and use it almost exclusively for applilque now.

    I love to hand applique--but have only used the freezer paper method. This looks like something I want to try for sure. Thank you for posting this information!

    Not a new technique by any means! My grandmother taught it to me when I was a little kid in the 1930s.
