I attended on Thursday from 9am to 4pm. Easily saw everything. It certainly isn't as large as QHC and I didn't find the deals like I used to with QHC.

On Saturday I returned to Lancaster and visited the Host where QHC used to be held. Quilter's Rule assembled a good size number of vendors and quilts for a mini show. It was in the Host and across the street, just like QHC used to be but of course not as many vendors. I spoke with Jim from Quilter's Rule and he said that next year he plans to have classes and more vendors.

I would love to know how the show was, didn't get to go,
Husband was ill, and I have Bronchitis, so it would have been
too much. Can't believe it...but for anyone local NE PA
There is a small show on 113 in Creamery, at the 4H Center.
10:00 till 4:00 on Fri, and Sat. 25 and 26. I will still have my
red ribbon on my purse.

Thanks for the info on this show, especially since I was sick and didn't make it to Lancaster, either. Please be sure to remind me closer to the show or I'm sure I'll forget!

I put the Hershey Quilt show on my calendar too --- end of July, last weekend of July. I signed up for several classes today.

Anyone been to that one?

My BFF and I had a wonderful time! We were there Friday and Saturday. Took classes in the mornings and browsed the fabulous quilts and vendors in the p.m. Friday we spent time at the Host as I was interested in the Nolting machine. Met Dusty Farrell, very talented guy! He gave me a great Thread lesson! I purchased YLI's IRIS (metallic look) and I purchased some of his black light thread. No bargains, but all the prices were competitive. On our way home, we hit the PA Fabric Outlet up New HOlland Pke. That's where the bargains were.
We are definetly going back.

My sister and I went to the show on Wednesday, it was great as there were NO crowds, could see it all and enjoy it. Then we went out to the Host, old show site and the vendors across the street at the Continental. Thursday we went shopping north of town, Weavers, Burkholders, Sauders, Wilburs Chocolates. On Thursday night the Lancaster B&B owners put on a very nice reception, and my sister won a $25 gift card to a quilt shop as a door prize and I won a poster of Quilts of Lancaster County. It was also my sister's birthday on St. Patrick's day so we went to bar to celebrate a little and she got a free dessert.
Friday was more shopping- in all we did 13 quilt/fabric shops in 2 days- Zook's, Obie's, Hayloft, Old Country Store, Bitty Kinna's, Nancy's. Had a great time and didn't break the bank, just got what we needed and a couple of new patterns and goodies. By the end of three days we had had enough, were tired but happy.

I'm curious what else other people brought home with them! I always said I'd love to go to one and get 'fitted' for a thimble. :)

I got a pattern by Edyta Sitar, backing fabric for my 2011 Round Robin( I will have it ready when the top gets back home to me), some special red and white fabric for the back of my March doll quilt, some fabric for binding a quilt I just got back from LA. All things I needed! Also lots of ideas and inspiration and encouragement to see so many wonderful people who also love to quilt
