This is great. What a creative use for the convergence design, to use it as background..

Terrific job... you get an A+

Love anything that has to do with water. Your top is really a work of art!
I figured out how to do the pattern right now in my head(it appears to mirror itself inside out like the 2 for 1 quilts I have done). I just need to know how much of the 2 fabrics you use for this size top. If you could let me know I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Hi Alaskan Lady, nice to meet you, We used 15 1/2" blocks of 2 different colours.

However that does not give you a whole quilt size, that is only the middle block. To help you though I measured the finished block and it end up 24 1/4" x 25 1/2". Therefore if you wanted to make a whole quilt you will have to make your blocks much bigger, sorry I canīt help you there.

What we did was sew the two different blocks together, turn one over. Now with your wrong sides up on you left hand block cut from the left hand side the following size strips. 1", 1 1/2",2", 2 1/2", 3" leave the remaining. On your right hand block work from the right and cut exactly the same sizes.

Take one strip from your left hand side and 1 strip from your right hand side, pin together. If you have done this correctly you will have a wide strip and a 1" strip. okay. Keep doing this taking 1 from each side. sew all together. Fold over and cut again exactly as before.

Its quite difficult to explain so hope this helps.

Thanks to everyone who took the the time and trouble to write to me I really appreciate that.

I have decided to try and do the rest of the quilt in a similar manner.

Hopefully it will work.... to be continued.....
